Anton Maix Fabrics has always focused on offering the finest quality woolen textiles. Our Design Fabrics are woven with natural, long-staple virgin wool, with tracability throughout the development process, and no harmful chemicals. Our fabrics meet the strictest of industry standards due to the inherent qualities of wool.
The benefits of wool are well known. However, in the never ending cycles of design and fashion, we believe the advantages of wool are being overlooked at a time when they should be most relevant.
Wool is:
- Natural - Wool “breathes”, allowing it to repel moisture and resist mold and mildew.
- Long-Lasting - Wool fiber has “memory”, bending back on itself, making it wrinkle resistant and long lasting without breaking.

Anton Maix has focused on wool textiles for more than 60 years because we believe its unique properties are always relevant.
While all of Anton Maix’s fabrics are eco-friendly, several of our fabrics have earned the European Union Ecolabel. The Ecolabel is a stringent certification that evaluates the environmental impact of the entire life-cycle of the fabric, starting with the treatment of the raw wool, through production, distribution and disposal.
